Welcome to Badgerland Animal Reading and Comfort Companions, Inc. (B.A.R.C.C.®) We are a group of individuals in the Dodge and Waukesha Counties of Wisconsin that want to share the wonderful joy animals can bring to other people. Our pet therapy teams are registered with organizations such as Intermountain Therapy Animals. We also have a thriving Reading Education Assistance Dogs (R.E.A.D.®) program in which school children read to our dogs. Our purpose is to enrich the lives of people we meet through our pets.
B.A.R.C.C. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and is an affiliate of Intermountain Therapy Animals http://www.therapyanimals.org. Hello
I used to be a member of BARCC years ago, I recently was asked by someone from Bethesda in Watertown if there were dog therapy groups in the area.
Is this group still active? And if so who would be a contact person that I could forward to her?

Hi Jody! We remember you and your daughter as BARCC members! We did have one team that visited a hospital in Watertown, but I’m not sure if that team is available to visit Bethesda. We would have to bring this up at our next meeting. Yes, we have about 15 dogs currently registered and working!
